Institutional Ethics Committee
The Institutional Ethics Committee for Human Subject Research at SUT Hospital is constituted in accordance with the National Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical and Health Research Involving Human Participants (ICMR, 2017) and the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019. The IEC is responsible for the ethical review and oversight of all biomedical and health research involving human participants conducted at our institution, ensuring the safety, rights and well-being of research participants.

Scope and Function of Ethics Committee
- Reviews all research proposals involving human participants for scientific and ethical soundness.
- Ensures compliance with ICMR, DHR and CDSCO regulations.
- Safeguards the rights, safety and well-being of research participants.
- Monitors ongoing studies and addresses ethical issues as they arise.
