Early detection of the Brain tumors can lead to effective timely medical intervention.
Diagnosis
Diagnosing a brain tumor involves several steps. Initially, a thorough neurological examination is conducted, followed by imaging tests such as CT and MRI scans helps to locate and determine the size and nature of the tumor. If a tumor is detected, removal of the tumor has to be done at the earliest.
Treatment
Treatment for brain tumors depends on their type, size, location, and the patient’s overall health. Options include surgery to remove the tumor, radiation therapy to destroy cancer cells, and chemotherapy to target and kill tumor cells. In some cases, targeted therapy and immunotherapy may be used to enhance the body’s natural defences against cancer. Post-treatment rehabilitation, including physical therapy and cognitive rehabilitation, plays a vital role in recovery.
