The laboratory performs various diagnostic tests in bacteriology, virology, serology, mycology, immunology and mycobacteriology. The tests are performed according to the standard operating procedures adhering to the highest quality benchmark.

The department provides round-the-clock services to clinicians for timely decision making and supports the infection prevention and control team with timely alerts on outbreaks, surveillance cultures and also provides antibiogram for preparing the hospital’s antibiotic policy. The department is also equipped with automated blood culture system (Bact/Alert 3D) and sensitivity system (vitek 2 compact).
