##### Department of Maxillofacial Surgery

Maxillofacial trauma:
This includes management of fracture of facial bones like frontal, orbital, zygomatic, nasal, maxillary, mandibular which occurs in road traffic accidents and other injuries.

Orthognathic surgery:
Correction of facial skeletal deformities like prognathic upper and lower jaw, gummy smile corrections and correction of chin deformities.

TMJ surgeries:
Temporo mandibular joint disorders like TMJ ankylosis, TMJ arthritis, disc disorders are surgically managed.

Infections:
Fulminant space infections, Ludwig's angina etc are managed efficiently.

Salivary gland problems:
Functional and structural deformities including salivary stones, tumors are managed.

Cysts & tumour of the jaws:
variety of cysts and tumours occuring in the hard and soft tissue of the face are treated.

Secondary defects associated with cleft lip and palate
Surgical procedures like Alveolar bone grafting, occlusal correction, maxillary advancement are done.

Sleep apnoea syndrome:
Surgical management for sleep apnoea like mandibular & maxillary advancement, chin advancement, partial glossectomy are done efficiently.
