Blood Bank

We follow good transfusion practices and stringent quality control measures in terms of blood donation, testing of blood products and transfusion practices and licensed for blood and blood components. We have all the standard facilities and equipments required for a modern blood bank including adequate inventory of all blood units, component separation facility, screening for transfusion transmitted infections, recovery room for donors, follow-up and referral of high-risk donors & test reactive donors to ICTC.

- Facility to prepare Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP)
- Facility to prepare Packed Red Blood Cells (PRBC)
- Each unit is tested by ELISA method to avoid the possible chances of transfusion transmitted diseases, blood grouping, cross matching, DCT & ICT, venesection
- Equipped to store 600 units of blood
- Round-the-clock blood and components are provided to meet the medical and surgical needs of our patients and also to other hospitals.
- Registered with CMC EQUA and HvPI
