World Stroke Day 2024 – Corporate Talk at Infosys | SUT Hospital

On 29 October 2024, SUT Hospital conducted a World Stroke Day awareness session at Infosys Ltd. Dr. Ayyappan K (Consultant Neurologist) spoke on 'Identification , Management & Prevention of Stroke' covering: - Identify fast: warning signs using FAST (Face droop, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency). - Manage early: why the golden hour matters; hospital pathways for thrombolysis and thrombectomy. - Prevent smart: control of blood pressure, diabetes, lipids; AF screening; no-smoke, regular activity, and diet basics. - Workplace readiness: what teams should do when a colleague shows symptoms; whom to call; transport and first-aid do’s & don’ts. A short Q&A helped employees translate the guidance into everyday action.
