**Thiruvananthapuram:** SUT Hospital Pattom celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 with a grand function recognizing the achievements and contributions of its female staff. The event held at the hospital’s conference hall was inaugurated by Col. Rajeev Mannali, CEO of the Hospital.
A key highlight of the program was the honoring of Dr. Sreerekha Panicker (Senior Consultant Dermatologist) for her exemplary contributions in Malayalam literary field. Additionally, women employees who have completed 30 years of service at SUT Hospital were honoured for their dedication and commitment.
As continuation of the ‘Gift of Curls’ campaign, participants who donated their hair for cancer patients were felicitated. 61 members of the staff including five consultants were honoured for their gesture of enhancing the self esteem of those who lost their hair as part of cancer treatment. The Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics organized a Dietary Presentation, Diet Review and ‘Fun Zone’ providing informative and interactive sessions for attendees.
The celebrations concluded with an energetic Zumba and Yoga session promoting health and well-being among staff members. Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Rajasekharan Nair, HR Manager Devi Krishna, Chief Liaison Officer Radhakrishnan Nair, Doctors, Heads of various departments, and other employees were present on the occasion. The Women’s Day event at SUT Hospital was a tribute to the strength, perseverance, and contributions of women in healthcare and beyond.
