Thiruvananthapuram: SUT Hospital observed World Voice Day 2025 with a powerful campaign titled ‘Voice Our Concern’ at Manaveeyam Veedhi on April 19th. The event focused on the theme ‘Empower Your Voice’ and aimed to raise awareness against drug menace - a growing threat to the well-being of our youth and the community.
The event was officially inaugurated by Sri. V K Prasanth, MLA, who delivered an inspiring inaugural address emphasizing the need for collective action against drug abuse.
The Presidential Address was delivered by Col. Rajeev Mannali, Chief Executive Officer of SUT Hospital who emphasized the hospital’s commitment to not only physical healing but also addressing the emotional and social well-being of the community. Renowned cine artist and playback singer Ms. Akhila Anand shared the Voice Day message highlighting the importance of vocal health and using one’s voice for meaningful causes.
Felicitations were offered by Sri. Anil P Rose, Assistant Commissioner of Police - Narcotic Cell and Sri. Firoz A Azeez, popular actor and Radio Jockey. A significant highlight of the event was the launch of a new mental health helpline, introduced through a message by Mr. Nithin A F, Consultant Psychologist (Helpline No: 9526089700).
Quality Manager of the hospital Ms. Bindhu Krishna welcomed the audience and the event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Ammu Sreeparvathi, Consultant of ENT & Laryngology appreciating all participants and guests for making the event impactful and memorable.
