Seminar and Certification Programme on Biomedical Equipment Management

Thiruvananthapuram: SUT Hospital, in association with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), organized a ‘Seminar and Certification Program’ on the pivotal role of biomedical engineers in healthcare on 12th January 2025 at Hotel Hycinth. The event was inaugurated by Col. Rajeev Mannali, Chief Executive Officer of SUT Hospital. In his inaugural address, the CEO emphasized the critical contributions of biomedical engineers in ensuring patient safety and operational excellence. Dr. Rajasekharan Nair, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, presided over the programme, highlighting the importance of innovation and precision in hospital operations. The programme was felicitated by Dr. Unnikrishnan M (Sr. Consultant & Head, Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery, SUT Hospital, Pattom), Mr. Vinodkumar (CAHO Member), Mr. Arul Prakash (CAHO Member) and Mr. Chokkalingam S (CAHO Member). Key sessions was conducted by Ms. Manjumol K K (Manager, Biomedical Engineer at SUT Hospital), and other prominent professionals from various hospitals across the Nation. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, making it both an educational and professionally rewarding experience.
