Gift of Curls

Thiruvananthapuram: SUT Hospital organized the ‘Gift of Curls - A simple cut, a powerful transformation’ an initiative encouraging hair donation to support individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The event, aligned with the State Government’s ‘BtcmKyw B\µw, AIämw AÀ_pZw’ program, was inaugurated by the District Collector, Smt. Anu Kumari IAS at the hospital’s Conference Hall. In her inaugural address, Smt. Anu Kumari IAS paid rich accolades and stressed upon the initiative’s impact in boosting the confidence and emotional well-being of cancer patients. Col. Rajeev Mannali CEO of the hospital presided over the function. Renowned cine artist Ms. Alina Padikkal, delivering the felicitation expressed appreciation for the donors and the hospital’s efforts in fostering community-driven healthcare support. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. V. Rajasekharan Nair, Medical Superintendent. Chief Laison Officer Radhakrishnan Nair, HR Manager Devi Krishna, Managers of various departments and other staff were present on the occasion. The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with numerous participants coming forward to donate their hair.
