Thiruvananthapuram: A certificate distribution ceremony for German visa holders of NICE Academy (A sister concern of SUT Hospital) was conducted at the SUT Conference Hall, marking a significant milestone in the German language training programme initiated in January 2023. The event celebrated the achievements of students who have successfully completed the programme with 15 students securing job placements in Germany and 11 qualifying at the B2 language proficiency level.
The event was inaugurated by Shri P Prasad, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, who applauded the initiative for creating pathways for aspiring healthcare professionals. The presidential address was delivered by Col. Rajeev Mannali, CEO of SUT Hospital, Pattom, highlighting the importance of language training in expanding global career opportunities. Dr. K P Srinivasakumar (Research Consultant at SUT Hospital and German Language Training Coordinator) provided insightful introductory remarks on the programme’s success and future prospects.
The highlight of the event was the certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the achievements of students. The felicitation session saw esteemed dignitaries including Dr. V Rajashekharan Nair (Medical Superintendent, SUT Hospital), Mr. M Radhakrishnan Nair (Chief Liaison Officer, SUT Hospital), Ms. Nazrin (IPP Care GmbH, Germany), Ms. Beula Mathew (Medical Services Junker GmbH, Germany), and Dr. Samji D.R (IBCR, India) extending their best wishes to the students.
Students who successfully completed the programme shared their experiences, expressing gratitude for the fully funded initiative, which has enabled them to secure employment opportunities in Germany. Ms. Beena Ajith (Centre Head, NICE Academy) welcomed the audience and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rajeev T (Administrative Officer, SUT School of Nursing/NICE) appreciating the support from German sponsors.
