#### What are Piles / Haemorrhoids?
They are swollen veins on the rectum and anus. When vein of the lower rectum swell, they are called internal haemorrhoids, which are associated with painless bleeding. When swelling occurs in veins under the skin and around anus, they are called external haemorrhoids and cause considerable discomfort.
